Newbie hello

Hi everyone, Dave here. Thanks for letting me join. I’m about to become a Fiat driver, totally new experience for me as I’ve driven a Land Rover for years. The car I’m buying is a 500L lounge. I’ve read lots of positive reviews about it, so I’m looking forward to driving it.

WHat engine does it have. My son hired a 1.3D version a few years back and it carted 5 of us 350 miles in comfort without too much effort. Not a racing car but good at what its made for. I hope it goes well.

I nearly bought one 18 months ago.. but ended up in a 2 door Lounge

I own Twinairs and the 1248 diesels.. they both have their strengths

Hi Panda Nut, I’ve now taken delivery of the car. It drives well considering it’s a little underpowered. I’ve driven a Freelander TD4 for the last 14 years. It decided to go into retirement by self destruction of its transmission while we were on holiday! So the Fiat is going to be a very different drive experience, but I’m not resistant to change ( even at 77!). Thanks for your good wishes.
