Try http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g60763-New_York_City_New_York-Vacations.html

Lets you search multiple online hotel companies at once for the best rates.

What airport are you flying to? I know a good trick to beat the security queues out of JFK :D

Jonathan

Searching as I type, it's a budget trip really so nothing to fancy for a couple that make less per year than one of the typical FF punters!

Possibly could be JFK, do tell anyhow or is it PM only?

Liam

Right guys and gals, update time!

Flights booked, no longer need to fly to London to get my flight, upgraded to fly from Glasgow for £40 per person! Result!

Flying to JFK so security trick now required Jonathan!

And also the bumping is just a heads up to anyone who may have other info to add.

Thanks

Liam

Sorry only just found this thread again.

We travelled down to London for our flights to save the £40 but we're not so far away ;)

Have you found accomodation?

Yes Lora accommodation has been sourced, not great though.

Best Western Convention Centre Hotel it is, 4 blocks from Times Square, don't worry I ain't as lazy/demanding as you:p

Ok, I've revived this thread due to reading the Boston one.

Now the flights are booked, accomodation booked, travel insurance gained, luggage ready, what else am I missing? I don't have transfers but I will email my hotel to enquire.

Also going to book a helicopter tour!

Liam

Have you thought about getting the airport bus as a transfer i mentioned them before and they're very good :p

I'm jealous about the helicopter tour - fancy taking me :p
