Cheers dt, ive picked up some mini blade ones from Amazon. Just need to find a switch live and this will supply the switch feed for the radio. At least will be fused a source aswell. Looking at dab units also so a switch feed for that will help aswell.

List update to do -
Sort temp and outside air sensors still -raar
3 new tyres in near future
Front discs and pads
Possibly binding rear brake- New caliper,discs and pads.
New gas struts for bonnet and boot
New boot switch.

No update as yet as car is in use daily as I started my job this week but do have a brake light out.

I want to replace for an led bulb? Do I need a canbus error free lamp for brake lights?

The two outer brake lights will need error free bulbs because they are monitored by the bulb failure module in the Body Computer. The high level centre brake light is switched directly from the brake switch so is not monitored.

Some models (3 door, 5 door, MW) have combined 21/5 watt brake and tail light bulbs, some have separate 21 watt brake light bulbs. I can't remember which model has what.

Thanks Davren, had a look tonight. Mine the MW has a twin filament bulb fitted so unsure whether a can bus error free twin led is available?
As I'm in there I will swap indicator out as well and keep a spare set I reckon.

Nice and easy job tho for others, two long plastic nuts with Allen key heads. Then units pops out, unclog connector and two clips reveal the lamps. Refit is reversal.

Ok, little update.

Car is now used as a daily as started my job.
Three weeks in the car is good so far.
Filled to the brim from very little in the tank..(nothing left in range indicator) £62. So far 435 miles.
Hoping to break the 500mile mark per tank. Be quite happy as that's now 2weeks commuting.

One issue I have is the diesel vibrations are getting gradually worse even since replacing the gearbox mount? Any advice. I think I'm gonna take the new one off and recenter to see if it's any better but really distracting ATM. Feel it through the whole car on idle.

Blanking egr at the weekend aswell so can see what the next tank of fuel compares like with the egr fitted.

Hi, guys.

Just updating the original thread and have a few questions.

The workhorse is still doing great sort of.
Broke the 500 mile to a tank barrier.. actually 565ish which was great!

Replaced the front discs and pads today which took a lot longer than expected due to the solid carrier bolts. But persisted and now all replaced.

I did notice tho a snapped coil spring on the passenger side. A pain but glad I spotted it. Noticed a rattle last week but put it down to a drop link.
So with 50% off at gif a pair of new springs should be on route.

Is there any thing else I need for it? Top mounts hopefully will survive the spring change.

Next week on nights so hopefully rear brakes will be done . Discs pads and calipers this time. All being well I will be able to do these.

Otherwise the car has done around 5k with me since November. I consider the above as consumables really as I'm nearly touching a 100k and soon will be mot'ed for another year hopefully.

You'll have to keep an eye on this - the rubber bushings aren't usually the problem - it's the bearing rings that dont tend to survive.

Never had to change one on a Fiat but any other single arm suspension setup I've ever worked on (typically french) I've had to replace the top bearing as they just fall to pieces when you take the load off them.

Attached for fun a pic of the state of the bearing that came off my brother's Citroen C3 - which also snapped a spring. You can see it's in a worse than sorry state!

Does anyone's know if the suspension strut,spring etc setup is the same on a jtd multiwagon to a jtd 3 door/5door?

I'm considering just swapping the whole strut for the moment to get through the mot and then a rebuild next month.

The overall design is the same, but the springs could be a different rate/tension for different models.

Also, the distance between the two bolts that hold the bottom of the strut to the cast iron hub carrier pillar could be different. I'm not sure if this was changed only for some models, or for all models at a certain date or VIN.
