Technical New Stilo/Member - one question

Hello fellow owners.

Just found the site after buying a new Stilo Active so thought I'd join.

I'm really pleased with it, the only thing is there's an irritating noise coming through the drivers side door when the car gets up to speed. Sounds like air coming in through a gap but can't feel anything.

I've checked the door seal and it seems ok but just wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue before I went to the dealer.

Welcome DP.
A noise is a noise and it could be coming from anywhere. I haven't got one so it's not a "feature" of all Stilos. Check you haven't got any contamination around the door seal like bit of grit allowing air in and check the window meets the seal properly. Make sure the door hasn't been damaged and fixed badly

A good test is to hold a sheet of paper betwen the door and the seal, close the door and see if you can easily pull the sheet out, if so you may need to tighten the door catch a little. Test it in various places around the door

Hi,

I suffered the same problem on my Stilo and Fiat changed the seal under warranty. I was fobbed off that the noise was within Fiat tolerences but when i explained that it most certainly wasnt within mine, they reluctantly changed it. I am sure that if you do a search there are other threads on this.
