Im in the same boat ( and same car) trying to figure out way to upgrade to uConnect 7. Aftermarket car play won’t work with all car settings as wiring loom for sat nav units is diferent that non sat nav. You may be left out with Chinese units with limited functionality.
I'm confused the app did nothing other the tracking your journey's and shoe abbter level fuel level ect what are people missing from it?

I’m personally find it difficult to find one which will work with car config functions…
I had the battery information, online music (a bit like Spotify) car diagnosis when there was a fault, that I have noticed, there were more options before it went offline
Hopefully somebody finds a solution
I found this one on Amazon for a basic idea. It shows the same radio I have with navigation and says it works, any opinions?

Seen it I’m inclined to order that https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Navigation-Bluetooth-Receiver-Replacement/dp/B0CGFF527Y as in theory supports on board diagnosis. Can give it a go and always return if ****?

Hi @julia11 and @berlinasportiva. You are both hero's in my book for finding those replacement systems. I got my 2016 Fiat Tipo 1.4 T-jet estate last year and the DAB Ariel needing replaced and the stereo are the only things I need to get done this year. Please please let me know how you get on with it.

My plan would be to fit it in January towards the end. We’ll see how good it is
Hi, I had to replace my aerial as I had no dab working. Not too bad to do just don't rush it. It is not worth buying a second hand one, I did this first and it also was broken as it seems to be a generic fault.

Hi, I've heard it's a generic fault thought to be water damage. I planned to get a new one once the warmer weather comes.

If you replace the serial
I recommend getting a tube of silicone grapes and covering ever joint under the aerial base with it to prevent water ingress
My current one has worked for 5 years now without issues
