I am desperate for a piece of information! I need to know exactly what amp will run my subs best, both are 300watt rms each and 4ohm each. I want an apm that will run 350watt rms each at 2 channels, what amp is best, i have a budget of £220 MAX, please quick accurate help would be great

Remember that Blaupunkt for 180 quid? I'd go for that

As you have single voice coil (SVC) 4 ohm subs, you can wire them in parallel so that the overall impedance is 2 ohm. You want a mono amp, not a 2 channel

That Blaupunkt will give 1 x 650WRMS @ 2 ohm while the subs will take a total of 600WRMS.................................... You also have 30 ish quid left over (after paying for P&P as well) so you can spend it on nice thick cabling Or some Guinness, whatever you prefer

I'm sure there's other amps out there, but it's a case of having a look around You want a mono amp that will do 650 - 700W RMS (ish) at 2 ohm. That will be fine

Took me AGES to find this again - hope someone replies lol! I have waited that long for the amp that i eventually cancelled it, they are having problems gettting that particular model apprarantely, but i was browsing and found this, do you think it work work well? just a quick reminder that im running two SVC 300RMS subs at 4ohm each on a mono amp making them see 2ohms, and this amp is 900 watt rms at 2ohm. anybody rate them?

Should be fine Bit of headroom is always good Just don't go mad with the gain first off

Thanks pal I shall look forward to posting about my builds next, im moulding the 2 12's into a weird kinda shape but maintaining the required volume behind each in a cool way, not polystyrene balls like i have done in the past but somethign else
