Hello All,
I recently bought myself a 1 year old Evo which had done 25 miles.
Within 5 days I had already had my breaks jammed on once and was sitting waiting for the AA to come and recover me as they jammed a second time. The first time they unlocked themselfs after about an hour.
The second time the AA technician finally managed to release the breaks after around 45 minutes and move it into a side road where it was recovered and taken back to my local dealer who sold me the car.
Two and a half weeks later I collected my car after work had been completed, thank god. It was driving like a dream again.
Not for long, after exactly a week and pretty much the same amount of mileage the breaks locked on again. The same AA technician came out to me as I was in the same area and this time he could not even release the breaks a little. Unlike the first time I was recovered this time both sets of wheels were locked.
The car is currently back at the dealership and I am driving one of there cars as a temporary measure, il get onto that soon.
Just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this problem with there Evo as its very disappointing for me seeing as is my first brand new car.
On another note I found it deeply shocking to find that Fiat will not refund me the cost of the insurance I had to pay the first time as I had a hire car. My costs total just over £100 which seems like nothing to such a large company.
You wonder why I had to pay insurance, I am only 20 so enterprise would not cover me on there insurance. I find this interesting as my dealership have given me a Punto 5d while mine is in the sop and have managed to roll me onto there insurance.
Anyway sorry to rant but need t know if anyone else has had the same problems as me, never had any issues with fiat before and we currently own a Punto, 500 and Punto Evo.
Thanks
Paddy
