Had my new phone a week now. Put loads of my MP3's on it and hoped I could use one of them as a ring tone. No, couldn't do it. Did a little search on the net, the result was Windows Phone 7 doesn't allow users to upload there own ring tones.

Accidently uploaded some music in .WMA format and guess what. They're all selectable as ringtones.

I've wanted an HTC for ages now, and finally got one! I avoided windows at all costs, as much as i use vista on my laptop i certainly wouldn't want a windows phone. In the end i went for the HTC Desire, was looking at the Desire HD but i didn't like the feel of it or the size and the Wildfire was also an option. Only got it yesterday and it's been charged twice  aside from the battery life, getting to learn everything they can do is addictive

I chose the HD7 because it was a windows phone and its large screen.

The HD7 is the only touch phone I can use comfortabely, most touch phones have tiny screens that are a complete waste of space if you have large hands like myself.

The HD7 is basically a Desire HD.
It runs Windows Phone 7 instead of Android. I've had Android phones before didn't want another one. I think Windows Phones will be the way forward, Android has had its day thats why I chose the HD7.

I think I'm going to upgrade my HD2 to a Galaxy S2.

After the continuous crashing of WinMo, I want to try something different!
I've found my Omnia 7 to be very stable tbh. That said there's a heap of people at work with Desires and Galaxy S's and they're all happy with them :)

WinMo is only still around because of their legacy use in PDAs and business specific tasks. For example, the company I work for still does a lot of work for Windows Mobile 6.x devices. This kind of work is not currently feasible on Android/IOS/W7. This is down not only to the hardware (a lot of our clients need signature capture which is just not possible on a capactive screen) but in the case of W7 and IOS the APIs that we can tap into are so crippled that it makes the devices useless for anything more than critical than social networking / media useage.

Because of this, I can't see W7 shipping in anything like the quantities that WinMo 6.x devices did. Their 'market' was business / specific tasks.. which they've walked away from to 'have a go at touchy feely social networking centred devices' (which is a contended market already)

Android is open enough for this to not be an issue, but still fails on the lack of stylus support.

Looks like I'm not the only one to think Windows Phone is the way forward. ;)

Seriously, are you in love with your phone or something? WP7 is good, I love mine and would gladly have another, but it's not a one size fits all OS and it doesn't suit everyone.
