And I must say what a difference!!
The clutch pedal now is as light as a feather and the bite is midway!
The release beariing had totally collapsed, and pedal was getting harder to push.
This all came on in a matter of weeks with minimal clutch slip!

I did most of the undoing of stuff with my friend mechanic on his 4 post ramp!
It really wasn't that difficult...we dropped the subframe completely which made the job a lot easier!

Hopefully touch wood its the last expense for a while!
If anyone needs any pointers just ask and I will try my best!
Or I know of a good mechanic who will do it for yo, in the herts essex area!

In reply to shepherd's email...I can't reply

The multi has done 87k miles and the clutch taken out was a genuine fiat so I would say its the original...so not bad.
We refitted a valeo clutch and flywheel who make the genuine one..as it was stamped valeo/fiat.
Got the clutch at trade price but I think looking online you can get it for similar or maybe cheaper but I went with his supplier in case of a problem...it came to £350 all in...know you can get a LUK clutch for £280ish...
Could have got away with leaving the flywheel as he said there wasn't a lot of play in it...but I thought that knowing my luck it would fail months later...
