Wonder if it's an update for the new iPhone 4?

well Blue&Me TomTom refuses to work with my new B&M Control Unit, was going to throw it back to the dealership for the 5th or 6th time but i shall try this first.

It worked for me with iphone 3g ios 4.0 and latest blue&me 5.5. I just have an issue when connected to usb adaptor for iphone it drains my battery and it doesn't charge at all.
It says it's charging but i see battery draining.
Possible the problem it isn't from iphone or car system because same happen with os 3.0 and other version of blue & me software.

hey guys,

I have a Grande punto 1.3 mjet sport 90cv from 11/2007 and yesterday i've been listening mp3 music by the blue and me from a pendrive of a friend of mine.

Today, i've tried to update my blue and me for the 5.5 version, but it hasn't work =/

I'll tell you the whole story:

- My computer has some kind of virus and my pen don't work properly.
- I asked my brother (he has an Apple computer) to format in fat32 and copy all the files to the pen drive
- before instaling, i rebooted the system by disconnecting the batery for 20 minutes.
- them, i placed the pen in the USB port and turnned the car to MAR position.....nothing happened.
- i've checked with my brother and it was not in fat32.
- he formated once again in fat32 and copied all files in.
- i've tried in the car once again....and nothing.
- we then tried to put some songs in the pen drive and nothing...
- then i tried to format in my computer and put some songs....and nothing =/

So, i have lots of problems here:

- do you think that have placed in a non FAT32 pendrive could have damaged the system??

- do you think my 2007/11 blue and me is not updatable??

- do you think my pen as some kind of problem? (are there any specific pens for blue and me?)

-do you think my blue and me is over? =/

-What do you think i should do?

Try formatting the USB stick as FAT16 (or maybe just called FAT) with default block size and try again.

Try with different USB sticks. Use USB up to 4GB.

(And, did you extract all files?

works a lot better when you connect your phone to it. It also doesnt throw a wobbly when you plug a stick that has applications on it aswell.

My iphone 3GS running ios4 has been working fine until today when it stopped recognising any media, i did the hard reset, works for a few seconds then goes back to radio.
updated to 5.5 today and still no joy, deleted my phone from the car and repaired it just in case but still no luck.

anyone with any suggestions?

Can you explain how to format a USB stick and what FAT 16 is or FAT or anything like that?

With the USB stick connected to your PC, go into Windows Explorer (quickest way is hold down the Windows key and press E). Right click on the USB drive and select 'format'. Then choose the FAT or FAT16 option and click format.

Hi all,

I have updated my 500c to 5.5 (after trying with 3 different USB stick, the slowest was the good one). Upgrade complete.

It doesn't solve the 'play for 3 seconds then stops' issue with my iPhone 4.
Other solutions are welcome.

Also I was not able to apply the Blue & Me Map update afterwards, getting the infamous 'USB ERROR 10'.

Does any of you successfully installed the Blue&Me MAP update after the upgrade to 5.5 ? Which car is it for exactly ? I have the Dashboard mounted GPS (Originally the Magnetti but replaced by a Tomtom).

Try hard-resetting B&M by taking the battery off, also check that any apps that you have running that might create audio are closed.

Co-Pilot was causing similar behaviour on mine.

I had the usb10 error for at least 12 attempts and the only way i could get it to update was to

use 2 usb sticks one with the 5.5 update and one with the language pack on.

1) Update the language pack - successful

2) Then I tried updating 5.5 but it fails leaving me with no blue & me and a flashing mileage

3) Then update the language pack again which seemed to fire up the blue & me system again

4) Then inserted the 5.5 update usb stick again and it goes through and says 'restarting' a couple of times but ends with 'complete' and says 'update complete, remove the usb stick'

This worked for me but if you try this try it at your own risk and please do not blame me if things go wrong!

I then thought in for a penny in for a pound and installed ecodrive as well and yippee it worked !!

I am now a happy bunny!!

Does the blue and me need NTFS pendrive, or fat32, or other? Can i format my pen drive in any format?
