Hello all, Pandarus here back at last in an official Panda owner capacity!
Picked up my new CLX from deepest Cambridgeshire last night. On arrival, the seller tells me that the car belonged to the local lord and lady at the big house in the village! Sure enough, on the v5 there it was confirmed - previous owner was a lady something or other.
The car is in very good cosmetic order, touch of rust on the doors but other than that very nice indeed. It's a 94 CLX so it has roof bars, sunroof, plastic trim on doors and sides, clock, adjustable mirrors, gaiter console etc. Everything seems to work too. :u) It will not take too much effort to have a real 'minter'.
It's been about 2 years since I drove a Panda and I quickly remembered just what good fun they are to drive. It drove very well for the 70 miles home, in what were terrible conditions with the wind and rain. The clutch felt a little stiff and the brakes although working felt a bit unresponsive - and surprise surprise, I will also need to sort the hand brake!!! I will be looking at these problems very soon.
Due to her almost regal status, I have decided to call her 'Lady'. This seemed to fit very well.
I can't make the get together on the 27th June as I am on holiday, but we will be looking to catch up with you at other events!
Photos to follow very soon!!!
Cheers for now
MARTIN
