General Negative Terminal - How many connection?

Hi,

Attached is a pic of the neg terminal of my GP (Dualogic). Is it me or does there appear to be a missing wire from the middle upright bolt? I ask as in Andy Monty's "Electrical Germlins" FAQ the pic shows a wire coming from this bolt.

Can anyone shed any light.

Does your car go? If so don't unnecessarily worry. All will be different depending upon date of manufacture, and spec

Currently the car won't start because its stuck in gear as the hydraulic pump doesn't fire up when i open the door. Which you kindly replied to last week.
So I was going through the Electrical gremlins FAQ before admitting defeat and calling a garage.

Fair play.

A small recomendation to test the pump, should be a big connector on the wiring from it, about 5-10cm from the pump, might be worth unplugging it and applying 12V directly to it so see if it runs (although I can't guaranteed access will be easy).

That wire in that picture is the ground connection for the front fog lights i fitted Since the front end of the GP is all plastic i went back to the battery for ease
