Technical Heating connection issue (Grande Punto 2007)

Started having an issue with my heating where the first level had no resistance and was the same as level 4. Levels 2-4 now only work intermittently.

I saw that replacing the heat resistor could be an option, but it looks like the issue is the other side of the connection where the plastic casing has melted. Has anyone been able to fix this before? Is it an easy fix or one for the garage?

If you could get a connector with a length of the wire still on from a scrapyard and fit to a new resistor it may do the job , but due to the current to work the fan it needs good soldered electrical joints well insulated afterwards .
So if you are not happy doing that , then maybe a good Auto Electrician.
