Hi, I recently bought a Fiat Swift Suntor 590RL. After battery was reconnected the radio showed code. Stupidly I put in a wrong digit, now all I have is WAIT - 2 days now. Anyone any idea how I can get radio work again?

Hi, had a similar problem whilst doing the alternator on my better half's astra. Usually if you put the wrong code in beond the given number of times, it will go into a safe or wait mode. It will ned a pre determined length of time before it will let you put the code in again.
Remember that the time is on one block e.g 1 hour, so that is 1 hour unninterupted, not on for 30 mins twice.

Short of that, main dealers should carry a master code to overide the lockout. Or find a scallywag to unlock it for you.

Sorry cant give you more specific details.

try leaving it unplugged over night and see if it will let you put the code in

iv heard that putting it in a lunch box thing with a seal and leaving it in the freezer over night can clear the codes but i doubt it will work and i wouldn't really want to try it haha

Thanks for your advice. So far it's been on for 1hr 30mins uniterrupted & still the wait was there & then it just disappeared from the lcd & I had to turn it on again & guess what - "wait was back" Wouls it help if the battery was disconnected ??

you could disconnect the battery but if you want to use the car then take the whole head unit out and leave it out over night then plug it back in and see if its still there
