I wouldn't ask mate, lesser comments have started war :p

I have no problem with my 7x10s, granted the sound quality on them isn't great but they provide excellent backfill and they make up for the fact that I only have a 10" sub :D

I plan to keep the gains pretty low, I only got the more powerful one cos it was £15 more than the one that provides half the power, plenty of room for expansion (y) Also as the comps are very high quality I can chuck about 70RMS through em without them batting an eyelid. My biggest problem is getting the gains just right without blowing the speakers

Luke (ICE mod) is going to help me install it as it's going to be tricky as he tells me that it's best to mount it in the front (as having long speaker wires from the boot isn't a good idea) and the Punto is very limited on space for amps in the front (not to mention my distribution block is in the boot  ). And probably the worse thing is that I have to drill into my beautiful doors, I can't watch

It's all to do with 'soundstage'. For the best SQ, the sound needs to come from in front of you. Eg: would you stand at a concert with your back to the band?

Having powerful rear speakers upsets the soundstage, plus, the DLS comps he has will sound amazing and the 7 x 10s won't be a patch on them. After spending so much on the DLSs, it'd be a shame to drown them out with the 7 x 10s.

Apparently if you have long speaker wires then your making them vunerable to electrical interference (I am just quoting Luke). I might end up having to mount it in the boot if I can't find any space in the front :(
