Just bought a 2015 Pop 500 automatic with 47,000 miles. Everything was fine during test drive and turning on and off. Drove it home and put it in park, put parking brake on, took key out, closed and locked the door but the car is beeping with just the P for park on dash. Help! It stopped after about 3 minutes but I have never had a car do this.

Did you put the parking brake on or just put the shifter in park and get out ?

Put it in park and put the parking brake on. I then moved the car and just put it in park. Both times it did it. Key out of ignition and doors closed. Also tried locking it but kept beeping.
Maybe SEARCH in the 500US Section for parking information
The european 500 does NOT use an Automatic gearbox.. so has no P N D gear selector ;-)

Just like every old school (torque converter) type auto box it probably has a switch that tells the car it is properly in park. I'd start there.

I agree it sounds like the sort of alarm that would warn against the gearbox not being in the right setting or hand brake not being on.
