Yay, I have a working heater now! Turned out both the switch and the resistors had gone. I took it to my mechanic mate as I didn't want to attempt the switch myself (looked very cramped in there). While he was there he replaced a blown backing light in there, greased my door (WOW, it shuts with no effort!), and unseized the handbrake on one side. I thought the handbrake worked before, but boy does it work now!

Pics tomorrow if I brave the cold and wash it!

Well theres a lull in the rain here and it wasn't very cold so I've just finished up washing it. I didn't realise just how dirty it was, but then again, I hadn't washed it since getting back off the roadtrip lol.

And one for Luke :p :

As you can see, it parks on the drivers side, which I'm a little miffed with.

no one makes them like fiat.....

Well I carry my VIN in my wallet now (shows how often I need it when I go to FIAT :D), my VIN falls in the 'band' with 3 and 4 lol. Thanks for the info.

What wires would these be Adam? On the plug, or the three wires that go to the control gizmo thingy (that I can't access). Maybe moving the earth from the far left of the socket to the far right?

Went to FIAT and my tank was recalled and done in 2004. No other outstanding recalls. Hurrumph.

I've added a vacuum and temp gauge in place of the heater vents now, haven't had the balls to swap wiper motor wires around yet for fear of blowing it and having to take everything out to get the motor out.

To make the dials blend in better I think it may be best to paint the silver surrounds black. I don't know too much about how to go about this, but I want it to dry to a nice satin sheen finish like present, but in black. Opinions?

Pics of the dials anyways :):

After talking to Schooweenick at the ACE, I got the tank looked at by FIAT and replaced! Turned out it was leaking quite alot lol. I filled it up fully, and wow! No more fuel smells, and I've got past 100 miles in the first half tank(compared to 30).

Went and picked up my xmas present today, under the tree ready for the rest of it!

It'll go on the car after I've got the backbox and decat/sportscat. :D

erm, im not sure tbh

most likely the positive and negative on the motor (as this would make the motor work in reverse) try it on a 'spare' motor first though (incase I'm wrong)

Supersprint manifold:D

Just got the following in the last few days:

- That new wiper blade style (looks great, misses most of the screen:bang:, I'll have to see if I can do something about that)
- New headlight bulbs, OMG, I can tell when the lights are on now!
- Clear side repeaters
- Clear indicators. I bought these because the seller said they were e-marked and road legal, on the box it says "Disclaimer: The lamps set is intended for off-road purpose only".:bang: Looks like I have to re-use the retention spring as these don't come with them.

www.1stautobulbs.co.uk is where I got the headlights and wiper from. Spend over £14 and get a free gift, I already had a pressure gauge and the other one so I got a reverse beeper. It's coming out tonight, so damn annoying:D

how can you resist not fitting it lol. I'd have my spanners out xmas day, regardless of the rest of the system on it. Still they are nice when they are still shiny and not discolored from heat.

looking nice and tidy anyway, shame it wasn't mk2 else you'd have clear indicators anyway, mine did, but I'd like smoked :p People are never happy with what they got eh :D

Yeah lol :D I'm waiting for the rest of the system so that I can experience a 'big bang' effect, should make the end result even better, abstaining now!

I took that wiper off tonight and replaced it with the old one I had in the boot, it's useless, and it was raining quite hard, so I needed to see!

You referring to these new style aero blades? If so, im very close to buying, i hear some great reviews and some terrible ones lol.

Kristian

Yes, I have a single wiper conversion though, The problem seems to be my wiper arm won't put the pressure down on the middle part of the blade. So it wipes everything but where I want to see basically :D. With two wipers on a flatter surface area I reckon you should be fine. At high speed it tried to fly, whereas one of their sales pitches is this doesn't happen!
