Seicento My Sei Sporting

Seicento My Sei Sporting

I snapped a stud getting the exhaust manifold on, so the car has since been garage bound. Just waiting for Peter to sort a head for me. In the mean time I have taken the cambelt off and drained the coolant system ready for the head to come off. Little bits and bobs. Basically all I have to do now is cam cover off, disconnect the TB lines and it's ready to come out.

Been to Fiat and got the parts I need, thermostat, head set, cam seal, the new style metal gasket from a later Punto and bolts. Nick (Schooweenick) at Glyn Hopkin, thank you!:worship:

And the postie delivered some goodies today which are Denso Iridium plugs and Magnecor KV85's

Also ready to go on is the Supersprint! Can't wait :D

Car back on the road now, yay! The power difference is great! The idle is a little lumpy due to the 290 degree cam, but the ECU is geting used to it and every time I use it, it's getting smoother throughout the rev range. It's going in for a remap to get the most out of it not this Sunday but next.

Also need to adjust the clutch cable as the biting point has shifted down a tad more and I can't get it into reverse without crunching!

Just got back from the Stilo mapping day at Chipped UK. OK, I don't have a Stilo but I got there before them and was with Peter :D

They did a fantastic job, car is smoother and revs free-er, but anyway, enough of the talking, heres the outcome:

As you can see, the injector runs out of puff, so the next thing to do is find a larger one/go MPI.

This is a pic of the induction kit in it's actual colour, my camera always used to make it out as baby blue lol.

meh? Nitrane's findings said that the bob the GSR uses it too restrictive above about 70bhp. Managed to forget the dimension of that opening now lol.

I was also referring to that power output being achieved with a 30mm standard throttle body, as opposed to Trickers 40mm, or a Punto 32mm one.

However, John's engine is running a larger TB (99% sure its a Tricker 40mm jobbie) which may be the key difference.

What's the spec of the head Col?

Re: My Sei Sporting leaking fuel tank

Hi ive also got a fiat seicento tank which is leaking quite badly around the seams but mine is a 2000 model can you tell me what year yours is or should i contact fiat about this problem can you please advise me

Went to FIAT and my tank was recalled and done in 2004. No other outstanding recalls. Hurrumph.

I've added a vacuum and temp gauge in place of the heater vents now, haven't had the balls to swap wiper motor wires around yet for fear of blowing it and having to take everything out to get the motor out.

To make the dials blend in better I think it may be best to paint the silver surrounds black. I don't know too much about how to go about this, but I want it to dry to a nice satin sheen finish like present, but in black. Opinions?

Pics of the dials anyways :):
