It handles sooo much better now. Tyres are Toyo Proxes T1-S. There is a lot less roll around corners and they're just generally well sticky!

what wheels are they and have you done any other handling tweeks?

I agree the Toyos t1's are good! i'd be dead if i hadnt bought some with my HGT. Not cheap though.

They are Wolfrace Excite Twin Blade jobbies, managed to get the tyres for £260 inc fitting etc, most peeps were quoting £80 a corner!! No other handling mods, not going to lower it as on the shitty pot-holed Norfolk roads and speed bumps everywhere i need my ground clearance. This should also help when i fit the abarth skirts and bumper!

Dont worry Dan, i have nightmares about kerbs now, a lot of the local roads are being resurfaced now and the raised ironwork is chronic-id rather take a different route than risk denting a rim!

Yes it does tram-line worse than before bu ti have noticed little deterioration in ride quality-i like it firm!

My discs look ****, i have bigger tea-coasters than that in my house than those! What this space for some more mods, im going to fill those wheels! :)

Ben.

Evenin Ben.

Begs the question, how long did you have to wait for those beauties!? (mine are due in a week after 3months of waiting!)

Have you looked into increasing the disk size? I've seen expensive complete sets, calipers and all, but had myself been wondering what was possible on a limited budget

those wheels are the dogs ******! suit the shape of the car very well! :)

jobs a good un!

@mit

Nice

Wheels are very nice matey. They look very similar to a model of alloys by MVK called `The 2`s` which are nice too. They are 17`s yeah. If you think it handles better with a set of Toyo tyres, just wait until you get it lowered on stiffened springs. Eibach springs are about the best for the money and they come in lowering kits of 5mm, 10mm 20mm, 25mm, 40mm, 50mm and 60mm. Takwe you`re pick. Neway, wheels look good

Re: Nice

Cheers for all the comments people, i am well hapy with them!

Smee, no we dont rent it any more as due to all the press coverage all rental/sale copies have been removed lol!-Little over the top i fear, dont imagine they will go back out again any time soon, if at all...

I only had to wait 1 day and went to collect them the next morning, all ready balanced and packaged.

Would be nice to lower it 10mm or so and get the stiffer springs for better handling, but i really need to fit my kit now, as ihave had the bits for ages!! I would also be a novelty to save even some money before i go off to Uni in October! Ha!

As for calipers, i already have them, i am just looking for the correct size discs to fit them secong hand, as im not paying £300 for just discs and then having to get bells made up to mount them on!! 330mm is the size im going for. Will fill the wheels nicely me thinks. The standard calipers are crap. The replacements were destined for an American endurance BMW, but have sneeked their way to me! They dont come much better...
