Panda My new ride.

I always used white spirit to remove tarstains from my white Tipo. Afterwards some new wax on the spots the tar and wax was removed from.
Took no more than 15 mins after washing.
Love my black 100HP, but white isn't too bad either;)

Gavv8 your car is definitely making me reconsider my colour choice. Does look ace but I spent 3 hours doing 2 doors and a wing of my white car. Was not fun the amount of tar built up over the winter month's

Yeah..i agree that white is very labour intensive through the winter but its worth it when the sun is shining, the air-con's cold and the stereo's cranked up.

Yeah..the hour or so of clay- barring the tar spots from the lower half of the car today was so much fun..

Claying tar spots isn't that great an idea - although it works, the tar spots attract grit, which ends up in the clay & turns it into fine sandpaper....

SRP also removes tar, but whatever you use, use it on somethig disposable which you can chuck away afterwards.

Autoglyms super resin polish.

When ive run out of tar remover in the past, ive used super resin polish and its great, especially if there's only a few spots

Now see I used to use SRP until I bought the panda, the bloke I bought it off was a valeter and he said that autoglym stuff is too abrasive and recommended carnauba wax instead which is very labour intensive but much longer lasting and better for the paint.
I do still use AG bodywork conditioner when washing it though.

Why wouldn't it be safe? Yes you not only solve the tar, but the wax as well, but I would apply new wax right away.
And I.m always humming "my funny terpentine" or Jefferson aeroplane's "white spirit" while I'm doing it;).

Prefer it without personally - looks excellent though but more excellent in other pics !

Anyways, for tar, the best (imho) is eucalyptus oil - used it for 40 years now (not the same bottle though...)

Enjoy - nice motor ! (y)

Are these just for aesthetics ?? I understand they technically widen the track a little but is its something you would actually notice ??

I use Autoglym Tar Remover and that's done me well over the years.

SRP is good and it fills the swirls you may have. I use a combo of SRP and Poorboys polish which is excellent followed up with a hit of Autoglym HD wax

The 'lil' panda seems to have developed an odd fault, I replaced the track rod ends at the weekend and all seems to be well apart from when I reverse up the road I live to get in my drive, there seems to be a rattle coming from the underneath up front, it sounds like the ball joints would sound if they were knackered going forwards... I've looked underneath and I can's see anything obvious.....any ideas?
