Haha, so unsufficient washer fluid pressure is a fail, but almost 20 years old tires aren't...

Do it for your own safety then.

For the washer fluid, flush the reservoir first. Then check if the tube isn't bent or pressed somewhere. Had this on my girlfriend's car last year when we bought it, it was not used much for the previous 3 or 4 years. I found it by accident before it was its turn on the 'to do' list.

Hi Ya - Yes agreed - Wacher was a simple flush and fixed. The tyres are an interesting issue. The tyres fitted were fitted 2005, I have the receipt. This was PRE the requirement to have the date on the tyre wall. The car was stared dry and dark and you really can see the difference. There is zero signs of cracking or any degradation. That all said - 100% will change them - want to put a set of alloys on as they are steel ATM.

Are you aware of any time requirement now in law?

If that's all it's failed on that's really impressive for a car that's been sat since 2008, if the undersides all good & solid I'd get underneath it, clean it & protect the floor along with the cavities as these MK2 Punto's really did rot for fun. I can recommend the Bilt Hamber products for this although a little pricey compared to other brands but it's great stuff.

It truly is that clean - The seats are still bright and like new. Under the bonnet is still shiny!
