I'd stick it in the back, if you're going to go this far you might as well go all the way. :D

Still cooling will be more of a problem in the back, however you'd end up with a better car IMO. A lot of work though...

and alot more room :) unless i set up some ducting and it solves the need for a heater :D but this cinq is in very nice condition to be cutting up but needs must i suppose lol :slayer:

Hmmmmm, you could almost do with front hub carriers at the back, maybe from another car. Then you'd have the bearings, shafts, hubs, and suspension package mostly fabricated for you. Still loads of work but it would probably be a lot easier to make something fit than fabricate it from scratch.

Are you really sure you want to go this far with it?

This one was for sale recently and seemed to carry out a front engined conversion pretty succesfully (not much cento left LOL).

Someone is trying to do a rear engined Sei here I beleive:

Thing is (if it was me) I'd be more inclined to get the 16v fitted and running then move on to the bike project after with another shell.

Also bare in mind bike engined car is unlikely ever going to be a sensible road going option. What are you planing to use it for once it's finished?

If you think you can keep your enthusiasm levels up and pull it off fairly quickly it would be amazing. I did a long project once (10 years!) and it's not for everone. I'd never do it again that's for sure and I ended up with plenty of big gaps where I lost interest, it wasn't even entirely finished when I sold it.
It would be a real shame to see this disapear as an unfinished project, especially when it's such a nice clean example. Think hard before you cut any big holes in it. :)

However I have a feeling you'll be fitting a jet engine next week and going for the land speed record. Certainly going by the amount you've changed your mind so far. :D

Just spent the last hour reading through this thread and I cant say im not impressed (y)

Personally, I would have concentrated on the Turbo conversion as opposed to sticking a bike engine in it. You seem to know alot, and you say your at college? May I ask how old you are :p Dont mean to cause offence :)

Keep up the good work :)

I just need a sequential gearbox in my life lol and yeh its had 4 engines in already lol and I won't give up lol and I'm not going to cut hardly anything away just a bit out of the wheel well the rest will be jackshafts plus everything I'm dooing will be reversable at the end of the day 16v have been done loads not to say bike engines have not been done its just the 16v was not challenging enuf for me and I studying engineering at the mo almoast finished I'm 20 as for the use of this car I'm undisided but I won't sell this car on maby someone I can trust to look after it but not for a long time
