Ah that is interesting, still like I said don't waste any time making my regulator shiny matey, I'll be using one of these

I was going to use one of these and my external regulator

adaptor.jpg

However it was cheaper to buy the regulator than the adaptor .

It's also a much neater and less fussy solution. I have an inline fuel gauge to set it up.

Anyway keep up the good work that rail is already looking extra shiny and a million times better than it did before, you're doing an amazing job on it. :)

I hope you're happy with the brackets. Don't forget to send my regulator clips back as I'll still need them. (y)

Cheers

off topic update but i've purchased another engine  it is a nice platform for a turbo its an old design but light has a sequential gearbox and it's a long stroke oh and its oil cooled it was cheap ish so lets :worship: its ok

this is not to say the 1.2 16v turbo is not going a head :)

Hmmm this one:

Engine Type: 16-valve, 4-stroke, DOHC in-line four
Power: 106.00 HP (79.04 kW) @ 10500 RPM
Torque: 73 nm (53.8 ft. lbs.) @ 10000 RPM
Displacement: 749.00 cc (45.70 cubic inches)
Compression: 9.8:1
Bore x Stroke: 70.0 x 48.7 mm (2.8 x 1.9 inches)
Fuel System: Carburetion
Ignition: Full Transistor
Cooling System: Air/oil-cooled
Gearbox: 6-speed (1 down, 5 up)
Final Drive: Chain
Dry Weight: 176 kilograms (390 lb)

So lighter than a standard motor but a bit less torque.

Being carbed it would be a nightmare to turbo unless you went injection.

Should go well in a light car though and be good fun. (y)

Don't forget you will need to fabricate something so you can have a reverse gear, starter motor is a common option, just don't try and reverse up any hills. :D
