FINALLY some time to work on the car this week. Old and broken alternator removed along with battery for charging, and the roofrack's just getting a couple of fresh coats on the patio...

I find that a good hard screw will usually do the job

I'd probably want a ladder to get onto it somewhere - not up the tailgate but somewhere along one side maybe.

A productive evening's painting thus far, along with the fitting of Hadrian's new tailgate. As you can see on the last picture, the outer skin is no longer attached to the structure of the original talgate. The new one which is off Buff, is in much better condition.

crocks are all i ware at home working on the cars..
my first pair can be seen in Talons first post on his thread. they have been worn through..

one advance i did do however was upgrade from the ones with holes in the top.. welding splatter likes to drop into those holes. (i actually have the crock hole pattern tattooed into the top of my foot because of all the burns i got when welding talon up... and other welding)
