Technical Multipla Mirror Folding Fault

Hi, I have an issue with the folding mechanism on my passenger side mirror. The switch will operate the drivers side mirror and occasionally the passenger one too! BUT the only way I can usually get it to go in or out is to put the drivers side one into position and then turn the ignition off and then on again (this seems to get the mirror to return to the correct position)

Any Ideas? I thought maybe it was a faulty switch but it does work one mirror?? And the motor seems to function fine in the passenger side one.

I'm sure I've also seen something about disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to reset the electrical control unit and so re-sync. the mirrors, but I can't find the thread. Only do this if you've got your radio code though!

Thanks, I will try that, although as I said, the motor works, as does the swith (I assume with it working the drivers side one) so I am at a bit of a loss

That's why I'd try doing the battery disconnect first. I think it's possible to get them out of sync if the battery is diconnected/reconnected while the mirror is folded in.
