Hello

Well I'm near the end of a project where i bought a doblo with broken camchain.
The final stage...
During the rebuild i damaged an injector and got a replacement.

Then engine is running, great but it's rough and I'm hoping that coding in the injector will help.

Using multiecuscan I can do everything except code the injector!!
Any ideas.

Not a user of multiecuscan but I believe some actions need certain colour or type of lead according to Genden etc. Plus of course whether full version or not etc.
I have had various Bosch injectors that I have had apart and reassembled to fit to 1.3 multijets etc. in past and have never needed to code them to run reasonable, so I would assume it is more for fine tuning the balance of fuel delivery etc. Though I stand to be corrected.
I take it there is no other cause of the rough running?

Thanks for that, it is helpful to hear that the injector coding may not be the cause of the problem. There are no ECU codes coming up so maybe I need to look elsewhere.

Just been reading about the turbo actuator sticking. Could possible be my problem, engine runs fine at tick over but won't rev over about 2500rpm and gets there slowly too.

Would have thought a error code would have come up.
Can you pull the intake hose off after intercooler, before inlet manifold and get someone to rev engine as a rough test.
I did a physical test using a pressure/vacuum gauge on a T piece at the MAP sensor on my 1.6 Doblo multijet , sorry I can't recall actual pressure, roughly 1. Bar 14.7 lbs above when revved.
There should be a solenoid valve to control the vacuum to the turbo as well .
If heat shield off and you mark position of turbo lever engine off then start it should be possible to see if that is working when engine starts.
If you have a vacuum tester you can connect to the turbo vacuum pipe at solenoid and see turbo flap valve move.
I am assuming it isn't a "go faster " model with VVT variable vane technology as one of my daughters had a Golf TDI 130Hp that pottering around town gummed up and when you booted it it would go into limp mode until I fixed.

Thanks again for the advice, i think you are right, there would be an error code.
Maybe I'm going to have to look at a compression test. I dont have the gear for that, but need to diagnose this soon becuase I'm running out of time in my garage.

I have just replaced a 1.3 multijet fuel pump due to low common rail pressure causing engine warning light. The new pump exposed that I had a dribbling injector. I have just installed the new set to find my newly registered MES refuses to change the injector calibration codes, though it works fine with everything else. "Interface error" or some such.

Contact gendan and ask If they have any knowledge of the issue?

What interface are you using elm or kkl ?
