is a broken exhaust bracket an mot failre???

exhaust is still mounted fine does not swing around but the bracket wich attaches to the gear box just before the flexi pipe is broken apprantly was told this on me service in august. and mot is due end of month. will i need ot get this fixed?

Its an exhaust mounting that should be there, so its a failure. But, personally I assess over all condition before failing it, as like you say it doesnt make the system insecure. If the bracket is still there you can refit it by using an exhaust clamp to re-attatch the bracket to the pipe.
