General mot for another year

Hi,

Just want to post to say my sisley is on the road for another year. Passed its MOT today.

It needed a few things fixed though.

1. front brake imbalance
2. Rear brake binding on
3. headlight beam too low
4. Rust on passenger door needed more fibre glassing on it.

thats Good nes, hopefully the work that needed doing wasn't to expensive.

Mine runs out on the 9th feb so better book it in quick!

Now I notice the brakes being rubbish, they felt OK with the rear binding on!

I spent all of the weekend sorting mine for the dreaded MOT.

New discs and pads and a bit of welding on the lower front suspension mounts.

Oh Happy Days !

Wish it had been warmer though I had to put my pyjamas on under my clothes.

Just booke mine in for her MOT, Thursday morning.

She's fine except the old "pull to the left" has occured again.. so perhaps it's to do with the steering mechanism, not the tracking... Lizz or Jons 750 may be required.. I'll let you know

possible.. i'll have to see if it can jack it up somepoint to check tomorrow. if it is, simple fix?

You'll need to pump out caliper piston with the brake pedal, clean it all up, replace and put a new seal in. Messy. Just done it on mine. It's the salt on the roads.

Garage got the day wrong! They booked for Friday 9.30 instead of today at 9.30! Not happy, so they've scheduled it for 1 this afternoon... which means a whole day off work... and i don't wanna go out to much just incase something does go wrong.

Mechanically she could be fine.. i just dont wanna hit some ice n slide into something... although when i left this morning, handbraking round bends was so much fun!!
