Ummmmmm, choices choices!
BMWs are evil for the reasons mentioned above - don't like being overtaken and when you overtake them because they're going slowly they tailgate at silly speeds. They are actually nice cars - comfy and cushy but like others have said it's the drivers. Vauxhalls I have little problem with apart from Corsa drivers, who all seem to suffer from 'little car syndrome' without exception. Don't like the cars themselves, never mind the drivers, the paint is so thin they are all rustbuckets, no wonder the newer versions have plastic round the wheel arches. My main gripe is with drivers of small peugeots who also have 'little car syndrome' and would like to go fast but their car won't let them and therefore love to get in the way of those of us who DO want to go fast.

Only if you tailgate, i let you through, you slow down....or you do 60 down the right hand lane of the motorway because you think you're going too fast for the left hand lane. I am assuming you and your Cinq do neither of those things and I expect to see you thrashing my arse soon. I have a wee car BTW, well physically big, tiddly engine mind. I like to think I don't have 'little car syndrome' and if anyone here does we'll be undertaking them in the middle lane soon :D.

Ooh sticky my thoughts in here.....had to be BMW due to my 'other' car interests !!! They turn up at classic car shows and complain that nobody wants to look at their cars !!!! [^] Duh !!! [^] No **** !!! That will be because it has nothing to do with the original !!!

Sorry.....stella has been to visit and this is one of my pet hates !!!! :D

Rant over.....must be time for bed now !!

heh, i hate ppl that sit in the middle lane of motorway instead of in the slow lane, when driving home with new cinq there was a clear road and guy was in middle of road slower than me, yet if id've overtaken i would have been pulled over by the cop in the layby coming up... annoying :p

This problem is gettin' worse Ghost, I've undertaken 5 or 6 times in the last few days because some arse was in the right hand lane and not moving out of it so I had to undertake in the middle lane (well didn't have to but it was either that or tootle along at 60ish and be late for work). Am thinking you have noticed this too from your response. Spoke to my dad about it and he said he had a friend who does it and my dad said he asked his pal about it and his pal said he didn't drive in the slow lane because he was going fast not slow so he had to drive in the fast lane even if the slow lane was clear. PMSL!

The trouble is, I have faced this choice on a number of occasions. If i am doing 70 in the middle lane/right lane for a dual carriage way and quite happily overtaking most of the traffic, if i moved into the left lane I would be forced to drop to 60 or constantly over take. The roads are so conjested that the choice of moving into the left lane is difficult because that lorry up ahead within 30 seconds will always mean you have to come back out again, which is a fairly dangerous manoerveur (spelling/!).

Therefore, if i am at 70 in the middle/right lane, over taking nicely and there isn't a large enough gap to pull into, you end up sitting there for quite a while. To be honest, if some idiot is up my back side wanting to do 100mph and sitting 2m from my arse he can wait until I feel it safe to pull in. Swapping lanes is to be kept to a minimum (as per the highway code) and therefore going middle/left every car even when the gap is tiny is not only difficult but dangerous.

However, if you're just cursing the idiot who sits at 60mph in the middle lane and NEVER pulls over whatsoever, then yes, I hate that person too :)

Yes Paul, that last driver's the one I mean! Also I am courteous in that if there's someone behind me wanting to overtake and there's space to pull in on the left without me having to slow down substantially or do silly manoeuvres (also sp!) then I'll pull into it, let them past then pull back out. It's just polite and I would expect other drivers to show me the same courtesy (only they never do :().

Also annoying me today are lorry drivers not looking before they pull out 2 ft (that's about 60cm for you younger ones ;)) in front of me, forcing me to slam the brakes on somewhat dangerously and risk a major smash.

seen that on a few occasions, once a lorry didnt look as i was alongside him, luckily the 3rd lane was clear, i gave him the very mature responce of the finger :I
