More classifieds splitting

Ok guys, the parts section has now been split into model specific categories (as well as leaving the old categories there for generic parts).

So hopefully this will help you find everything a lot faster now. I just have a few questions.

1) Should there be a seperate section for "Cars for Breaking" - which just has all the cars that people are breaking (ie, not under their specific car model)

2) Should the parts for model specific split again -> Parts -> Model Specific -> FIAT Punto -> Tuning / Styling etc. etc, or just leave it as is. (this is no hassle and wouldn't cause clutter as remember sections autohide if empty)

3) Last question - should the parts section for Cinq and Sei's be as one? Don't they share a lot of bits? Or keep it seperate and people can just browse the two sections...?

Great idea gaffer ! On the subject of cars breaking would it not be easier for everyone concerned if they were just put in their own model section ? i.e. breaking punto in punto section, Bravo in Bravo section etc. etc. as if youre looking for a part for your motor some people wouldnt think of looking at breakers:bang: .

great improvement in the parts section! i noticed my ad was automatically moved into the new section. its much more logical to split things down.

1. i think breaking should be car specific, it makes sense when looking for a breaking ad.

2. splitting car specific parts further into more sections is a good idea, it saves time when searching. only problem with more splitting is when people put things in the wrong seciton making it difficult to find things, but admin seem to do a good job of moving ads so thats not a problem.

3. i think seperate cinq & sei sections is probably best because they seem to be fairly common ads so further splitting will make finding bits easier

generally any section with several pages would probably be better off getting split, its not good when you have several pages to navigate through trying to find things. i rarely bother looking on the 3rd page of results.

yeah i agree on keeping the cinq/sei split if only for bodywork parts.
if oyur looking for a common part its no biggie to look at both

Sorry Ben, but I find the split a real pain. When I'm looking for parts (standard or 'modified') for my Panda they maybe from cinq/uno/punto or brava etc. Having to go through every split to see what is new means I now don't bother at all. Other than that, keep up the good work. cheers Damon
