Technical Monthly checking and servicing

Hi all...

What is your routines for checking and maintaince your car.

I want to write a checklist (to myself) with what to do every manth, year and so forth.

Any ideas?

Besides checking coolant and oil and am pretty blank

Weekly or before a long journey;

Tires - Condition (buldges etc) and pressure.
Oil (inc transmittion fluid if an Auto)
Water
Brake fluid
Power steering fliud (if not electronic set-up)


Have you got a haynes manual?

Should have all your weekly and monthly check in there

oil and coolant weekly (ish) tyre pressures when you put fuel in, brake, power steering(if fitted) fluid monthly (ish) and otherwise just pay attention. If you want a regular checklist one daft thing to put on, drive it once a month or so with the stereo off and just listen. The car will usually tell you if something's wrong
