Right, the time has come I think to start making a few styling mods etc...

Got the private plates on now and I have the skywindow which is already brilliant :D

I have an idea for a sporty little exhaust but I have absolutely no idea what exhaust to get. I really don't want my car to sound like a hairdryer, just a nice low grumble so any tips on good boxes to use would be great.

17's are definitely on the agenda as soon as I can find a good set of claws (I love those alloys) and I am also thinking of getting the rear windows tinted.

Anyone got any other ideas that they have done or maybe even some photos... time to make the Stilo stand out :)

Here's a photo of it as standard and what it is like now except for the private plates.

Cheers,

Toby.

Hi there,
You already got good looking car :) My own tip from experience :p, lower it, and lower it some more :D
Don't forget to get some good looking wheels.
Changing just the exhaust box wont make your car sound too loud, as long as u choose the right exhaust pipe diameter. Mine is 60mm, and i love my sound.
If you want some pics of my car, just ask, ill send you pm, don't want to mess your thread with my own pics :)

Hi there,

I have thought about lowering it already, my problem is that it already scrapes on the speed bumps, and my drive is very steep so probably wont get on it :(. I will have to have a look at the exhaust, your idea sound like a plan to me (y).

A couple of photos would be great if that's alright... be nice to see what other people have done.

Thanks.

That's really nice. Love the Stilo in yellow. My main question though is... WHERE DID YOU GET THE GRILL MOUNTED FOGS FROM???? Been looking for them for months haha :)

And now I've asked that I really hope that was still your car and not another lol.
viewed it on my phone and it opened them on photobucket :s

Unfortunately I bought the car with the fogs on and have never seen another set! But I believe they are made by Lester?

Even more unfortunate is the fact one, yes just one, got nicked! I've got the standard grills in now with drls.

I have the same problem with my 1.6 stilo, not lowered (n)

As an easy simple thing, I changed my rear view mirror for a Grande Punto one (cost less than £15 on ebay).
Fits on the existing bracket/clip.
I think it's made a big improvement, now that it's black from outside instead of beige! I found the beige mirror really dated the car.

Sharpy7, I would of been fuming. I have no idea where to get them from but will try looking them up on Lester tomorrow.

That's a pretty good idea actually. I was thinking a while ago that it looks pretty crappy from the outside. Another thing I can have a look at :D cheers.

I dont need much of an excuse to whore my car!

Quick question pal... have you put wheel spacers on? Been having a look around and wondering if it's worth it.

Collecting the 17's on Saturday :D rolling on Claws at last :slayer: Also fitted a Leon Cupra splitter to the front bumper last night and have some nice Team HEKO wind deflectors on the way. Hmmmm whats next  ohh yes... exhaust!

Hi, just wondering what has been done to the bonnet to make it go over the headlights and the grill ? and where can I get hold of that grill with abarth badge ? :) thank you

No spacers, ive been debating it aswell as they are quite tucked into the arches, but i was worried about the wheels rubbing?

Yer that's one of my concerns, I will have a look when I get the Claws on Saturday as they are a bit wider then the 16s. My other concern with spacers are whether they can shorten the life of my bearings, I've heard some horror stories.

The bonnet is ever so slightly out of line on the drivers side (too lazy to fix it!)
but other than that its standard.

I bought the car with the grill on it along with the matching lower grill, the badge is just a adheisve one off ebay

Mine is the same haha, on both sides the bonnet drops slightly lower than the wings. Having said that, I have a feeling there are some adjustable height adjustments inside? Similar to the boot

I think its quite common! Ive been thinking about re-badging the back end of mine, looking at the newer badge on yours makes me want to do it!

toby14692, if/when you get some claws, let me know if you decide to sell your current 16s (y)

I'm still rocking some 15 steels with grand punto bolt on trims, and will be looking at changing to alloys at some point.

Penguinpaul, got the claws on, love them to bits!!! Nice photo op in the Dashwood estate on Saturday just after fitting them. My 16's aren't in the greatest of condition if I'm honest, they came with the car and are slightly chewed up, also all the paint inside each spoke is peeling off.ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1374449117.307775.jpg

Ah shame about the 16s.

Those claws look great, you must be really pleased!
Makes it look like a different car :)

Yer it is a shame really, hate to waste them, but they are not in a condition I would really want to sell them in. I found the Claws in a breakers in Birmingham and they are perfect, barely any marks at all. Might be worth just flicking through Stilos being broken on ebay, might be something about.

And yes, it does look like a completely different car now, a massive difference. Just got the wind deflectors fitted at lunch to :D
