Styling Mk2 Bumpers >> Mk1 ??

anyone know if its possible to put the mark 2 bumpers onto a mk1 ?
and if so does it require alot of filling ?

if anyone has done this feeback would be brill.

guna do a quick photoshop and post it back up.

i really doubt they would as there are a really different shape! but not 100%

Interesting thread, I've always wondered about this as well. I believe some minor adjustments to the mounting points would be needed, and obviously bits drilled to mount it.

I'd like to know as well if it's possible as I want to see if it gels together correctly, (meaning whether it looks good or not)

ive been told the mk1 fits the mk2 so cant see why not,(again not 100% thow)

TBH i dont see why you would want to as all the lines are different just wouldn't follow the currve of the car imo

It's possible but I'd guess there should be alot of work, like sorting out how it will fit, cutting it to size etc, More trouble than its worth Id imagine

If the mk2 bumpers were smoothed it would look a lot better.

Have to agree with the comment above, if it were smoothed it would look better, but I think it looks too big for the car, to be honest it would look better if a headlight conversion to mk2 lights was done as well to make it just look a bit in line with each other, as the standard mk1 lights just don't suit it unless you had a bonnet extension or something to narrow the size of the lights.

They're a pain to fit and not a straight swap.

possibly with angel eye headlights ?

i will look into replacing the bumpers and headlights when i get employed
