I have the following problem:
My steering wheel on normal feels too light. On city it is so light that the car is almost undrivable. On the road, if the surface is good it drives straight but on a less than perfect road it pulls left and right depending on how uneven the road is.

It all started to go wrong when the dealer disassembled the left hand part of the suspension to fix a problem in the gearbox. When I complain about the problem they claim that there is nothing wrong with the car.

I have done 3 alignments 1 on the dealer and 2 more on 'specialists' with no affect. Each one claimed that they 'fixed' something but nothing really changed on the handling.

Is it possible that the 1.9 which is a rarity here in Greece requires a special alignment with different camper/caster etc. numbers than the other puntos?

Is the electric system for the steering configurable so it stops feeling so light?

Can all my problems be blamed on other parts of the suspension? ( even though the dealer says they checked and all is ok )

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know it sounds simple, but have you checked teh tyre pressure, I drove a showroom model that was like this, and it was simply that the tyre pressures were way too high (they do this for transit of the new cars to the dealers, and it is fixed in the PDI) so too high tyre pressures would do it.

I run 2.5 bar all round on mine...

Before I started having the problem I had the pressures as indicated in the manual ( 2,6 front / 2,3 back ). Since then I have tried pressures higher and lower with no apparent results.
