General Mistaken identity

I have to confess to having mistaken a Micra for a 500 in Sainsbury's car park one dark rainy night in January. It was shortly after UK launch date and I was convinced it was a new 500. I was really excited when it pulled in next to me. However, once I'd wound my window down for a better look, I realised to my horror that it was a Micra.

:ROFLMAO:

me n her indoors are obviously pretty stupid, we've both mistaken micra's for 500's (at a distance)

mostly from behind (ooer). On the angle it's easy to spot the micras more obvious flanks, and from the front it's a no brainer.

But it has happened.

Mmm....This explains a couple of things...(re the Citroen Pluriel)

A few weeks ago I was talking to my mum & dad on the phone. They live about an hour away from me up in N.Yorks.

My mum was telling me that their next door neighbours' daughter had just got a car like mine, but it was orangey - I just assumed she meant a 500 in Calypso orange. Mum went on to say that she didn't think much of the colour, but it looked quite nice with the roof off and does my roof come off too?

I said something like, " do you mean when the sunroof is opened. My roof is a fixed glass roof and it doesn't open , but you can specify an opening one as an option." Mum then went on to insist that next door's daughter took the whole roof off her car, and she saw her do it with her own eyes!.

Am I right in thinking that the Pluriel has a fully detachable roof? Or did my mum mistake a Micra convertible for a roofless 500?

yep the pluriel has a full detatchable roof so is a full cabriolet i suppose the back lights are quite similar

I was pronouncing it in the manner of someone who hasn't a clue about cars:D

Like my mum for example. If someone were to ask her what sort of car I had, she'd reply "..a little red one". If they were then to ask her what make and model she'd probably say, "like next door's daughter's, but his roof doesn't come off."

Until I saw the rear view pic of the Pluriel earlier in this thread, I wouldn't have guessed you could mistake a Pluriel for a 500, but there definitley is a similarity from behind.
