General Door lock rod identification

I’m sure that long time fiat fans will roll their eyes at yet another handle replacement post…but here we are . My partner in grime and I were doing really well replacing our broken drivers side door handle (2010 model)….until…when putting the rod that fits into the red plastic clip…we dropped the rod (ok the husbeast dropped it…but I’m not throwing him under the bus). The rod fell into the door innards but despite an extensive finger tip search we cannot find it (might need Mulder and Scully to investigate because it has vanished). I have searched online for a replacement rod, but I keep finding the rod that comes with the replacement handle (which I already have) not the other shape rod. Would any of you folks have a part number or suggestions for an accurate replacement? Thanks in advance.

My advice would be to go fishing with a suitable magnet.
I have a small magnet that came from a classic mini sump plug and I stuck it onto a bit of firm plastic tube.
The amount of times it has saved the day over the years is countless
