General Mistaken identity

I was at a petrol station, filling up and paying (not much) when the cashier asked me: 'What is that car (pointing at my beautiful Mod blue 500) is it Nissan Micra?' I was gutted! I thought that the 500 doesn't at all look like Micra, but what do I know...

Dont worry, only dimwits and blind peeps think that! It really doesnt look like a Micra, I see Micras all the time and now 500s are appearing Ive not mistaken one yet.
There is however a red 500 in a Ferrari dealer near me and I heard someone laugh and say "whats that thing?"

i was asked the same when we had our demo car it does resemble the micra from the back not realy from the front though

There is a certain resemblance, but I like to think that this is because Nissan took cues from the original 500 when designing the Micra.

A quick glance at a moving nissan micra and it definetly looks similar.

Just like the Mk2a Punto at quick glance looks like the Mk1.

First why debadge, Fiat and proud. Secondly the badge is in a recess which would need to be filled.

mmm.
interesting reading. Before picking up our 500 we saw several Micra's in the distance and were convinced it was indeed a baby FIAT.

The Micra's silhoutte and proportions are very similar but thats where it ends.
Just look at the ugly lights and side body mouldings........YUK!
Thats before we get into brown velour interiors.
Bet the Nissan is a good sound car for a granny but it ain't no 500.

Has anyone ever been in one of these Micra's at night? It's really disconcerning, because the headlights are in such a place that you can see the side lights on top of the headlights from within the passenger cell.
