Mischievous Monkeys or Tampering Thieves?? Q..

Am very puzzled ..Went out to the car this morning and the Bonnet was un-latched, ie. you could get under the rim to pull the latch and open it!

It's a MKII, so it is alarmed, but nothing appears to have been tampered with. There's no locks on the doors anymore and I've disconnected the boot lock mech (not that there were any signs of forced entry).

I'm just curious..is it possible to activate the lock/pull chord somehow (without gaining entry to the car first to use the propper lever) ??

My new alarm has been waiting for me to get it installed, and it has a sensor for the bonnet, so might now get it installed sooner rather than later!

possibly, by punching out the grille and doing it that way. You may have knocked the lever or something earlier nad not realised, I know I've done that before

im not sure about gainig entry, but i know ive caught the lever with my foot n poped it open!
