My internal rear view Mirror requires re-gluing. I have looked all over & cant find anything long lasting which is suitable.
I have used some 3M double sided for now, but that has started to sag slightly from the top.

Whats and where should i use please.
I am in the UK.

Hi

I bought 'mirror glue' from a car accessory shop a few years ago when my one fell off..

Try Halfords website?

I wouldn't use tape, even VHB, for something as heavy as a mirror - though my dashcams are held rigidly by 3M VHB they're quite light. There seem to be a few specialist adhesives available, Loctite for instance, but I admit I've never had to use them.

The ones on the Halfords website have some mixed reviews. This could be just down to incompetence. Ill ask Autoglass & see what they suggest, as i have been bombarded with there TV adverts all day.. so they kinda owe me ;)

That.

The key to success with adhesives (if you'll pardon the pun) is to ensure the mating surfaces are absolutely clean and grease free before you apply the glue.

Pure acetone is great for this as it will also remove any moisture that may be present, and evaporates rapidly at room temperature. Don't use nail varnish remover; it's worse than useless in this application as it contains greasy additives to stop nails/hands from drying out.
