Today I'm going to try and get a few more jobs done on the car. I'm going to repaint the windscreen wipers gloss black and paint the wind screen washers gloss black too

A bit late in posting due to moving house and not having any Internet connection here's the finished product of the painted aerial, wipers and wind screen squirter in gloss black! Better late than never eh

Nice little touches. Did you remove the aeriel to paint it ? Is it hard to remove ?

Cheers yeah i removed it. Its really simple just unclip the interior light and the aerials held on with 1 10mm bolt

I need to change mine . After removing the interior light I can just see a plastic white piece. Is the nut underneath that ?

Not sure, on mine once i removed the light the bottom of the aerial was visible. All that was connected to it was a wire to the radio between the nut and thread.

I decided to give Chirpy a much needed bath this morning and here she is looking all clean and beautiful again

Cheers, I use rainex glass cleaner on the glass and auto glym aqua wax on the paint work. I only use the aqua wax as a top up each time I wash and apply a proper hard wax every few months.

She made it, 100,000 miles and still going strong

March 2015 Update.

She's still running smooth and not had too many problems since hitting 100k. Had the Puntos discs & pads changed and her yearly service in January and last week fixed an earthing problem with her real light clusters.

Plans for the summer include -

- Full exterior detail including machine polishing and applying protection. Also a deep interior detail too.

- Possible wheel repaint.

- Buy a front number plate holder and two new plates.

- Buy new side repeaters, possibly smoked.

- Upgrade any remaining bulbs that are still standard.

- Paint calipers and drums.

Hopfully here's to another year of trouble free motoring with my beloved Punto! (touch wood)
