Was out driving the car today when i suddenly lost all power. The engine light is on and hill holder dont work, the start and stop dont work or the esp is disabled. any suggestion what this could be?

i am in panic mode right now.

Hi,

First of all DONT PANIC!. The engine is most likely in "limp home mode" meaning that it will be limiting its power and RPM and cutting all unnecessary functions in order to prevent any damage or further damage.

As the engine light is on (EML) your first step should be to have the fault codes read to see what the engine management system thinks the problem is. It could range from something extremely simple like a faulty sensor, to something more sinister.

Is your car still under warranty?

yes it is under warranty. The display say start and stop not working read manual. and the same with esp and hill hold.

Hi,

Dont panic, 95% of the time it will be nothing serious, and it will probably be covered by warranty anyway. What year of your warranty are you in?

It could well be as simple as the brake pedal switch faulty or out of adjustment. The only way your going to know for sure is to have it hooked up to Examiner or similar diagnostics equipment.

Have you tried switching off the ignition, and the re-starting to see if its still the same?

Yes have tried to turn to restart several times, checked the oil and all the standard things. First year of warranty is the twin air turbo 2012 model.
