Technical Mckrich Chip + ECU Change Over Procedure

Yeah, you could do it that way and sell on the other chip/ecu.

Well what iam going to do is try this ecu in first:D to get it settled in and see what i think of it?? not that iam saying Mckrich chip is no good because iam not and iam sure it makes a difference? iam just very inquisitive,

If i do this then go back to my stock ecu will that then run like **** when put back in until it settles back in???

Thanks for your help

Yeah everytime a ECU is reset (e.g. unplugged), it will have to learn all the different parameters from the sensor again!

I never find it that much of a problem tho!

Thanks for the reply(y)

Sometimes you can tell the difference, other times not, very hard to predict. Often it's little more than slightly rough idle which will eventually vanish.

Thats good to know:)

and IMO, i would just stick that ecu on if it works ... as i wouldn't bother with telling the insurance the ecu are now decoded!

As fiat did make cinq (899) with a uncoded ecu.

Well as promised a little update:)

Iam pleased to say it honestly couldn't of went smoother than it has, popped the clip removed the 4 10mm nuts and removed the stock ecu then placed on the new donner ecu with Mckrich chip fitted secured the 4 nuts connected it back up turned the key waited until it was primed and Bobs your uncle:D,now i left it to run until the fan kicked in and after a few minutes of running with the aid of the light press of the gas pedal the the revs dropped to just below 1000 RPM and what i can tell from sound and vibration it seems to be running the very best so i then took it out for the short blast and as i said iam more than pleased with the result:devil: its there all the time when you need it:Dits far more responsive than before,i could even go as far to say i was nursing one:eek::D easy pleased me:D,now obviously the key code light is lit up but i can live with that but iam now on the look out for cat 1 immobiliser alarm but i better trot off and speak nice to the oh:eek::D,

Well i would just like to thank everyone for helping not that there was much to it in the end:eek: but the advice goes a long way so thank you all very much,
