Hi.

At the moment I'm busy to swap a 1.2 punto engine in a cinq with high pressure turbo. Max 1 bar boost

Custommade pistons from 9.8:1 to 7.7:1 C/Ratio. 1250cc
Steel headgasket
Everything balanced and stuff like that. Lightnen flywheel for 25%

But what I need to know is how many Horse power can the engine deliver without destroying the engine. Driveshafts and crankshaft...stuff like that.

Is there anyone that has more than 160HP on the crankschaft

If you uprate enough stuff, then anything is possible.

If the engine stay's together I Don't Mind.

The gearbox and shaft are 2nd problems and not the most expensive parts to repair or rebuild. The engine costs me a lot.

475 euro for 1.2 engine 650 for custommade pistons from JE-Pistons USA.
And more like that stuff like balancing, flywheel. man hours. drilling cilinders. Valves are cleaned and uhmmm (don't know the word)

Only I wonder if the driveshafts can handle this power. 140 a 150 is also oke :D

Would a Punto GT gearbox not work?

TurboCinqy, is it the actual US your are getting the pistons done? Or is that just the company name?

sorry but cant understand why you want to spend so much money on a 1.2 why dont you just buy a 1.4 turbo its got about 130bhp standard or am i missing the point lol

The 1400cc Turbo transplant probably costs more tbh.

The 1242 slots in dead easily, and the Turbo isnt that hard to fit and make the ECU run around...

Plus, more than 120BHp could be achieved from a suitably fettled 1242T.
(The vAD one HP Turbo ran 110BHp on an 1108, so 115BHp on a 1242).

I have a feeling this lower compression than the vAD one anyway..so the boundaries might be pushed even further!

The punto 60 engine is 99% the same. that's why i've this engine choosen.

Novitec 1.2 turbo without any upgrades is 118 BHp at 0.5 Bar (7.5 PSI)
0.1 bar ia about 10BHP for simple turbo engines. So at 1 bar (14.5 PSI) is 160BHP if my intake can handle it. At the moment i've still got a 30mm carb. Maybe I Place a 32mm on in or upgrade the 30mm to 40mm. In your country there's someone that can make that possible.

Turbo is maybe critical at 1 bar. 6000 Cubic liters/min gasflow for the turbo and the engine is asking for about 5960 Cubic liters/min.
I've already bought an Uno RHBO 5 turbo instead of the RHB4 I Will use at the moment.

This is the compagny that manufactured my pistons.

I Did order the pistons at a dutch tuner company. After many weeks the were done and at that point I knew were they did come from.

The pistons are almost the same as original only the pistonpin hole is 2.5mm higher placed. And this are High performance pistons
