Bravo Matthewr1990's T-Jet Bravo Dynamic

Introduction

So after months of looking around, researching, test driving and even a little fight (don't ask). I have finally got myself a Bravo. And what a beauty she is. It's a (57 plate), Dynamic, T-jet 120.

Goodbye Megane. You horrible excuse of a car!

Now can someone point me in the direction of a new brain. Even the climate control confuses the hell out of me LMAO. Gonna need a really good read of the manual.

Anyway. The car has a full service history and only has 57,000 miles, it had got a broken glove box but the garage is sorting this for me. It's coming with 9 months mot, 6 months tax and warranty, it's just had new belt's, water pump, brakes and two front tyres. It's in beautiful shape with no dents although there is paint work damage on the rear bumper. It's not deep, they're just surface scratches and no dent so god knows what they hit or did lmao. But it's not severe and barely visible from a distance, so it will be sorted when and if I'm ready.

QUESTION: being as this is a 57 plate car. Will it be able to connect to my iPhone 5 with a software update and the right connector?

So anyway without further ado here she is. She will have a name in due time

Good looking interior

Considering it's 6 years old, the upholstery is immaculate

Beautiful colour

So what do you think?
Re: My new Bravo :D

I've also added a beautiful West Bromwich Albion badge to the car because they are the love of my life.

A big thumbs up for the Baggies sticker. Boing Boing!! What wind deflectors do you have? I'm tempted to get a set of the Heko ones, they look pretty cool imo.

Re: My new Bravo :D

If you don't mind me asking how much are you paying to have your wheels resprayed ?
£274 mate, that includes an acid bath to remove corrosion and paint, then they fill in all the holes and skuffs, polish the wheel, powdercoat it the colour I want,, balance it and revalve it, put my tyres back on. They're also gonna sand and paint the caps for the alloys the same colour. And they're giving me a free set of slave wheels so I can still use the car whilst it's being done :)

Fair enough :) am I right in thinking you have the 16inch alloys ?

I currently have my 17 inch factory alloys for sale refurbed in factory anthracite for £250 without tyres

Re: My new Bravo :D

Update:

I took my car to the wheel place with high optimism, to find even with wobble bolts we couldn't get any alloys to fit the car whilst I have them refurbed. The only option is to find my own set of spares or leave the with the car for a week (n)

However this fine forum has stepped up and thanks to RobBravo I will be able to have them done at the end of the month as he is lending me his spare set, which I'm incredibly grateful for. So yeh thanks again Rob. (y)

Not a complete loss of a journey though, whilst there I decided to purchase myself some decent tyres for the front wheels. After much deliberation I went for Dunlop's BluResponse sport. Here's there stats for my size wheel

I'm not one to shout the praises of a tyre, however these are fantastic! It's unbelievable how well they grip in the wet. As you can see they're rated top in the wet grip and I honestly can't believe you could get better. How a tyre can make so much difference is beyond me.

Also further updates, my LED lights have come for the front sidelights, yet more bad news, one of them had snapped so I only have one and I'm waiting for an email from the seller to hopefully send through a replacement. However out if boredom I fitted one to the car quickly. It's a day shot and it's raining but I'm impressed. The only issue now is it makes my halogen light look a horrible yellow colour. I think I'm going to need to invest in a HID set :/

Finally my fly eye set has arrived so I'm looking forward to spending an hour or so putting these on the car on the weekend. For £22 I got a 45cm x 150cm of dark grey sheet for my car and a 45cm x 100cm full black sheet for my brother in law, these also include an application card and each sheet comes with it's own scalpel blade to help in the installation.

Re: My new Bravo :D

So obviously should of done this before today's meet, but didn't think of it until I had seen it on a few other cars, decided to paint the t-jet and fiat logos white on my engine cover. Not perfect by any means but I think it looks great.

I've also converted all interior lighting to LED, pictures don't do it justice, but here's a shot anyway

EDIT: the shot from inside the car isn't working for some reasons will add it in a moment after a re-upload.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Have you done that free-hand?!?! Impressive if you have...
Nah buddy. If you take a look at the engine cover the writing is slightly raised. Just used a steady hand and built the layers up slowly so that nothing could run off the side. The pictures make it look great. In fact when you just look at it in the engine it looks great. If you go close you realise I did mess up here and there. It wasn't hard to do though, just slow. You get To a point where you just what to blob it on and walk away lol. What you think? Do you approve?

(Also as I said in the text. I obviously had to disconnect the re-circulator pipe so I naughtily gave it a quick razz around the block to here the dumping sound. Loved it. All bolted and connected back up now though, need to order and wait for that stuff to come. You never answered me earlier either buddy, think my post got lost in your thread. But I need to know what size aluminium tube I need. Thickness and length?

Re: My new Bravo :D

So I updated my sidelights to LED. I'm gob smacked how well they work. Don't think people will have trouble seeing me.

Close up of LED in day light

Side shot of a night

Front shot of a night (bare in mind I don't have my dipped beam on, just side light.

VERY happy :)

Do you have link from seller for those side lights?
Looks great.
Are they can-bus or you have error light and message for side lights?
I have cree T10 with additional 47ohm ceramic 5W resistor in parallel

These sidelights actually failed on me half way down the motorway from mine-head. They're not worth the time. They were built in canbus free and did actually work fine, but the resistors built into them burned out. They did look good though. I'm now using the halfords bulbs, £9.99 and a resistor to draw extra power to stop the canbus error light.

Re: My new Bravo :D

So took the plunge and ordered a glass grommet for the rear window today so I can de-wiper my rear window. They do have the bravo size as you can see from my order,
All in all it cost £22.05 including delivery, and glue. After you covert it to £'s from €,s

Those that don't know about this (I think I mentioned it to a few people at Stanford Hall) read this. The site is in parts English parts German so I advise you open up google translate when you want to make the order, but they seem to have one that fits every fiat.

I'll update you all when I receive and fit the part.

Also whilst I'm here here's the picture of my interior with my new LED lights.

Upside down :bang: you get the idea,
