General M-Jet / T-Jet argument thread !!

its not sonys fault, its game devlopers being previously restricted by the Xbox360's CPU and now they dont have the engines and developments in place to fully utilise the PS3's power.

"Sony wins in tech-talk on this crucial ground, with two times the terraflopping of the Xbox 360."

"In terms of the active memory on access, the PS3 is three times as powerful as the Xbox 360."

"The cores really place the power in the hands of developers. The Xbox 360 has 3 running at 3.2GHz each, the PS3 has seven. So the PS3 is faster, much faster, which means it can do a lot more complex things. These days complex things refer to physics calculations and graphics operations"

"PS3 is able to output a higher-resolution (i.e., more high definition)"

I mean the facts are clear as day guys!! Software developers just need to learn how to fully utilise the PS3's power.

P.S. ps3 online is free!!
Power is nothing when the platform itself is extremely difficult for developers to code for - and that fault is Sony's.

It's like saying "This car is the best as it has one-thousand-million horsepower! Sure, it has no steering wheel, but look at the POWER!!!"

Yes, the PS3 is more powerful if properly utilised - but the development will take a LOT longer, therefore cost more. It makes sense to code for the easier platforms and then port it over to PS3 unfortunately.

And I say that as a PS3 owner.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:Just shot yourself in the foot there! standard mjet has more power than Tjet and wait for it..............100 ftlbs more torque!!

Tjet wouldnt pull you out of bed in the morning !

If you've seen GPs on the rollers then majority of t-jets have more bhp than mjets. Diesels have more torque yes, but delivered in a completely different way, look up why diesel engines have alot of torque.

I've driven both, I've seen both head to head and the difference is that minimal that its all down to driver skill.

Are you not bored yet....

Also your forgetting one very important bit of information

I believe that needs no explanation...if it does then diesel based xenaphobia may be taking hold...its like the Rorschach test (y)

NOt this crap again. Just because a Diesel pulls more power at the flywheel doesn't make it faster than a petrol with less power. That doesn't take into account gear ratio's, rev range, power delivery, dead weight and many other factors.

You also go to factor in more expensive repairs and maintenence on diesels due to their added complexity and as said higher ppl at the pumps (which is wrong IMO as diesel is cheaper just taxed more). In france diesel was 4-5 euro cents a litre cheaper.

IMO there isn't a superior car its a case of pays your money and takes your choice and get what best fits your motoring.

I cant be bothered arguing anymore, i put down hard facts and you guys just shrug it off with bizzare comments that dont even make sense.

To simplify ill put you a wager down, anyone with a T-jet want a race round a circuit, knockhill or any other. One/two or three laps (you decide), ill beat your t-jet, (yes thats including your precious corners). Loser pays winner £200. (make it more if you want). DONE.

If I had a T-jet (remapped) I'd take you up on that but make it £1000 as I know i'd win. Matt fancy borrowing me yours? I have a race licence :) lol

Ultimate lol. If I had a T-Jet I can think of a payment or two I wouldn't need to worry about. Beany you have shown a complete lack of understanding of the facts.
By your own admission the M-Jet has more torque and bhp. Yet you fail to understand why a less powerful car somehow has a quicker 0-60 time. then despite a wider power band a lighter car and effectively better brakes and suspension you think the slower car is going to be quicker round a track..

It really only leaves 2 reasons as to why you can be correct.

1, you are Micheal Shcumacher so would probably beat us in a 1.1 Cinq round the Hill.
2, You have an understanding of the physical world that would make Proffessor Hawkings cry.

lol i just cant help myself, why are they so blind? lol.:p

They not blind Beany, most have been on here a while and some have good 1st hand personal experience. I respect their views but form my own opinion on my preferences. Tiz a personal thing as mentioned on here earlier, choices we made, but TBH I would have a TJet any day if and when my annual mileage drops. I still love my MJet to bits tho...:D

lol, ok so firstly my 0-60 is 7.4 seconds.
Secondly why do you think that 0-60 time makes a car faster?? its nothing to do with 0-60 it to do with what you can do 40-80 for example. and there, the Mjet demolishes the T-jet. Explain for me why the T-jet has better brakes and suspension:confused:.

BUT.................like i said im sick of arguing. i know the T-jet will be faster round the corners but i dont think anywhere near faster enough to come close to what i would make on the straights. Hence why i think i would win and my offer still stands!

Firstly T-Jet will probably be about the same or quicker than an M-Jet 40-80 aswell. If you know how to use a gear box that is. ;)

Secindly it's basic physics. Youu know that thing you don't seem to pay any attention too.
Brakes and suspension almost identical on both models yes?
One significantly lighter than the other yes?
Do you get 4 when you add 2 and 2?

I've driven both I've hammered both. I'm not defending a model I paid 9.5K for here. ;)
