Anyways... as my lil GP is hot to trot I saw something about crankcase compression, or the reduction of more accurately as a way I might release another few BHP by reducing downward piston air resistance.... How much of an increase would I see?![]()

Thats the view I get in my rearview mirror as I accelerate away from them!
you must have pretty gud eye sight if you can see the t-jet badge in ur mirror when your acceleratin away! lol i got my t-jet due to insurance as i had the choice of a standard m-jet or t-jet, as my insurance would absolutly love me if i tryed to insure a re-mapped one! lol i enjoy my car and thats all that matters to me!imo there both mint engines.
What are them figures all about in your sig Ffoxy?
Well as some of you know, my mjets ecu was reset a few weeks ago and has been running standard.
I have a friend with a T-jet, which is also standard.
So a few weeks back we had a trundle on the 50, and I can confirm that there is little or no difference in the engine performance of a T-jet to and M-jet. Some parts he would crawl past me and some parts I would crawl past him (depending who was on the ball and getting their foot down first).
So thats that. The difference is mine sounded like a tractor and his nailed fuel.
So that will put a stop to the standard performance arguments anyway.
Same speed standard then....what about around the twisties, any difference?
OOI why is you ECU standard?
ECU has been flashed by fiat. Being sorted on sunday anyway.
Haven't tried the corners, just dual carriageway. It would be unfair anway as mine is uprated on suspension.
He's also nuts and I don't drive my car like he does for the durations that he does.
How can we settle this arguement once and for all![]()
I've stopped caring really, I just wanted to shut people up with my personal experiences. Doesn't matter what people say does it really?
i just want 2 see a winner and a loser![]()
A winner or loser at what?
The m-jet wins at some things and the t-jet wins at others. Depends what your priorities are, the mileage you do etc etc. Horses for courses. Each party will always argue their sporting version is better than the other. And for certain fields of play one may be better than the other and for others it won't.
It really is that simple.

How come they zapped your ECU? Was it for an update and did they say anything about your map?
Will you have the exact same map re-applied or fine tune it again?
I had a load of updates put on and a new egr valve, I've put it down to them trying to solve the egr problem first by flashing the ecu
I'll have the car mapped for the GSR kit, not sure whether red dot have updated their map in other aspects since I last had it done??
Nothing was said about the remap then? I presume the work was still done under warranty?
