lucky or what?

how lucky am i ?
my cam belt snapped on me on my garden and poeple was saying ill have to have new valves and **** i was like oh **** then i had a drain wave why dont i strip the over head cams off and check the valves by seeing if they all sit fulsh at the same level and are up to my shock they where all flush and up i got a machanic to check he say there in great order and its going to cost £45 for new cam belt and timing done and the belt fitted so would u say thats lucky on not lol?

thats a bargain too! cambelt supplied and fitted usually costs a good bit more. why not get the tensioner replaced and make a proper job out of it. They need doing every 4 or 5 years / 50,000 miles anyway. I take it was overdue seeing as it snapped?

way over due i got told about it about 2 month ago when i had my clutch done but i just forgot till it snaped bad mistake lol
