Hi guys,
I need som ideas, i took the rally car out for a test drive last night, and all was fine as the engine was warming up, but once i had driven it for about 5 mins, and it had got up to temperature the engine just lost power, started missing and had no torque. Now i had this problem before with the same engine in a different shell and i thought it was the ignition module as this was getting very hot and if you let it cool down then it would be fine again. So i replaced this item when i did the engine swop. However the same symptoms have come back.

Anyone with any ideas, of what it may be. The engine is a 1.0 Uno FIRE engine, with carb. I have also replaced the plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, and leads. Enigne is fine when warming up. It feels like it is either fuel or ignition related.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

Matt

I thought about this and i felt the carb and if anything it felt a little cold.

But thanks for the help

Think i may have found the problem, all along there hasn't been a lot of fuel flowing through the fuel filter (a clear plastic one - use to check for fuel flow). So when the garage couldn't cure the mis-fire i decided to change the fuel filter and pump.

Did this last night and when i ran the engine the filter was now full of fuel and it was flowing nicely. Just got to test drive it tomorrow evening and hopefully it will be cured.

Only got to paint a door, finish padding the roll cage, fit yet another map light, get the Poti working, fit the drinks system, fit door squares and numbers. All before Saturday ! - When the event starts :)

Cheers
