Hi, I have an Uno 1.7D 1999 (India) model. Have had it's power steering not functioning and very hard. I replaced the hose pipe for the fluid a while ago but the issue still persists and the oil seems to leak (the oil bucket gets emptied in about a week or two after every full top-up). The mechanic guessed that it's something to do with the wearing out of steering rack and suggests its replacement. However a new rack to too expensive here to get by. So I was considering sourcing a decent quality one from any scrap center.
In the process, I can across this video wherein they suggest a workaround idea to replace it with a Palio steering rack which should be easier to find and also relatively less older (and worn out), given one changes the inner and outer Tie-end rods. I am a newbie to automobiles and don't know much about mechanics. So would like to discuss whether:

I am a newbie to automobiles and don't know much about mechanics. So would like to discuss whether:
- They are of the similar dimensions and are compatible for change?
- Replacing the stock Uno rack with Palio (ofc- alongwith the change of tie end rods) is likely to affect the dynamics of driving and steering in any ways. And if that's going to increase the rate of wearing out of any of the mecanical parts (due to change in the positions and fittings of rods etc.)? The steering wheel won't require any change, right?
- For folks in India: where can I get manufacturer original / geniune qualtity tie end rods for Palio. 99rpm says Discontinued/Supply-chain disruption.
- Can someone confirm that the rack and tie end rods remain same on all models of the Palio?
