So I have a nice 1988 Fiat Uno 60S with only 6,000 miles on the clock. One thing that has spoiled my enjoyment of the car is that it almost always will fail to start if I stop the engine briefly when the engine is hot. It's not an overheating problem as the coolant temperature is normal. If I just leave the car for an hour or so to cool down it will start again without any problem. This means that I have to take it for a non stop garage back to garage drive. I had hoped to use this car as a nice classy town runabout on nice days but this fault makes that impossible.
What could be causing that?
